American Sensors is pleased to announce a significant addition to our already comprehensive Non-Contact solutions for the metals industry. Early in 2007 we are introducing the ASC…MWS-3000-M Microwave Level Meter. This product nicely compliments current ASC solutions and in addition:

• The Sensor provides efficient and accurate level (liquid or solid) measurements in adverse conditions including heat, flames, vapor and vibrations.
• The sensor also relieves strain on human operators who would otherwise depend solely on visual observations that are inaccurate, time consuming and sometimes unsafe.
• There are several applications for this technology including, liquid level in Blast Furnace Torpedo cars, BOF converters, steel ladles, continuous casting molds and many more.

Microwave technology works when other types of non-contact types of level measurements (laser, ultrasonic, radar etc) are not possible.

We have newly designed electronic board using a Cisco 16 Bit microprocessor and have included unique features such as:

• Laser Positioning, which is standard for all of our sensors
• Adjustable Gain from 1 to 50
• Automatic Gain Control (AGC) so that sensors always uses the right gain to have sufficient amount of energy from of my type of target, at any speed, at any temperature and at any distance.
• Measurement Energy Output both analog and digital
• Adjustable Threshold to get rid of background noise such as overheated mechanics or reflections
